Command Bar

The command bar is a command line in the header. Type what you want, fill in its arguments, and press Enter. What each command did, and every notification, is listed in the activity panel, a column on the right of the screen, so you can scroll back through them. The panel does not have to be open: with it closed, the result shows under the bar until you click away, press Esc or run the next command.

Turning it on

Go to Settings → General → Command Bar. It is off by default. Once it is on, the button at the right end of the bar shows or hides the activity panel, and so does the ` key (left of 1 on a US keyboard) — as long as no other hotkey uses it. You can bind a different key in Settings → Hotkeys → Toggle Activity Panel. Drag the panel's left edge to resize it, and use » at its top to collapse it. All, Commands, Agent, Notifications and Widgets filter what it lists, and Clear empties it.

To jump to it from anywhere, press / — as long as no other hotkey uses /. You can bind a different key in Settings → Hotkeys → Focus Command Bar; it works even when trading hotkeys are turned off.

Finding a command

Start typing and the matching commands appear under the bar. Use ↑ ↓ to move and Enter or Tab to choose.

If you already know the command, type its name directly with a colon and skip the search:

orders:place btc sell 0.5 61k
chart:interval 1h
global:module orderbook

If what you typed does not clearly match one command, the bar asks a small AI model which one you meant. Only your text and the names of the commands are sent (including the names of your own hotkey scripts) — never your positions, balances or account names. The pick is filled in for you to check; it never runs on that same Enter.

Filling in arguments

Once you choose a command, the bar turns into a form: the command becomes a chip, and each argument becomes a slot.

  • Tab moves to the next slot, Shift+Tab to the previous one.
  • A dimmed slot is a default from the module you have focused, like its symbol or account. Type over it to change it.
  • Backspace in an empty first slot, or Esc, goes back to the search.

Arguments are checked as you type:

You typeMeans
0.5, .5, 1kA size in base units, rounded to the market's lot size
$1000A size as a dollar amount
61k, 61000A price, rounded to the market's tick size
+2%, -50, lastA price relative to the last traded price
1h, 5m, 1DA chart interval

If rounding changes your number, the slot says so. A value that is not valid is underlined in red with the reason — it is never changed for you.

Orders always ask first

Commands that place, cancel or close orders show a confirmation card listing exactly what will be sent. Hover a size or price to change it before you send; undo edits puts the original numbers back. Nothing is sent until you press Confirm. When you confirm, the order is checked again against your book as it is right then; if anything changed, you get the new numbers to review instead of an order.

The account is the one shown in the slot — your focused module's account unless you type account= to choose another.

The order commands are:

CommandWhat it does
orders:placeMarket order, or limit with a price
orders:stopStop loss at a trigger price
orders:cancelCancel orders on one symbol
orders:cancelAllCancel every order, optionally one side (cancel all sell) or one account (account=)
orders:amendPrice, orders:amendSizeChange an open order's price or size, picked by its id
positions:close, positions:reduceClose a position, or reduce it by a percentage
positions:closeAllClose every position, or every one on one account
leverage:setSet leverage

"All" without an account means every account that is switched on. Any word the bar could not place, like a symbol after cancel all, is shown under the bar as Not used so it is never quietly ignored.

Module and settings commands

These change what you see. They run on Enter and bring the module forward if it is not open.

AreaCommands
Header togglessettings:hotkeys, settings:sound, settings:volume 40, settings:privacy, settings:macroPanel, settings:theme — a toggle with no on/off flips it
Marketsmarket:favorite, screener:pin, market:back (the last market in Last Markets)
Price alertsalerts:new opens the alert form for a symbol; alerts:list prints your active alerts
Order formplaceOrder:price, placeOrder:size, placeOrder:type limit — these only fill the form; you still send from it
TablesopenOrders:view stops, openPositions:percent, openPositions:roe, openPositions:hideDust, openPositions:currency usd
NewsnewsFeed:tab traders, newsFeed:tickersOnly, newsFeed:mute @handle
Other modulesequityCurve:period 3m, equityCurve:mode balance, margin:account, riskProfiler:tab moves, polymarket:search, polymarket:view top
Chartchart:interval, chart:beLines, chart:fees, chart:fills, chart:indicator Relative Strength Index, chart:clearDrawings (asks first)
Orderbook and DOMorderbook:grouping, dom:grouping — act on the orderbook or DOM you have focused, with its own market's choices
Layoutslayout:switch <name>, layout:list, layout:previous, layout:ai <description> (see below)

chart:clearDrawings works on TradingView charts only; the other chart commands work on both chart types. Indicator names are the chart's own, like Relative Strength Index. Focus mode is not a command.

AI layouts

layout:ai designs a layout from a sentence:

layout:ai a new layout focused on chart trading, with the orderbook on the right
layout:ai make the chart bigger and drop the screener

The bar shows the proposed panels and two buttons. Create layout saves it as a new named layout and switches to it, keeping your other settings. Apply to this layout replaces the current one; layout:previous switches back to the layout it replaced, and running it again switches forward. Nothing changes until you click one. Modules you cannot add are left out, and the card says which.

The Agent

If you have access to the Agent, you can ask it things in your own words instead of typing a command:

reduce all my positions by 25%
cancel my open buy orders
which position is my biggest risk right now?

When what you type does not match a command, the bar offers it to the Agent: the bar shows Agent · Ask the Agent with your sentence, and you press Enter again to send it. Shift+Enter starts a new line. With the bar empty, Tab fills in a suggested question.

Asking opens the activity panel, where the conversation appears. While the Agent works, the panel says what it is doing, with a Stop button. When it proposes orders, they appear as a card at the bottom of the panel, just like an order command's card under the bar: you can change the numbers, and nothing is sent until you press Confirm. agent:clear, or Clear at the top of the panel, starts a new conversation.

AI credits

Commands that spend AI credits, like layout:ai and every question to the Agent, say so next to Enter before you run them. Each call is charged by what it actually cost, and you get a daily allowance that resets at midnight UTC. The panel's header shows what is left, and ai:credits reports it.

Hotkey scripts

Your custom hotkey scripts appear as commands too, once they are bound to a key or a DOM trigger. Because a script can place orders on its own, the bar always asks you to confirm the script by name before running it.

Terminal commands

The web terminal's commands work in the bar too: type positions, orders, last-price, status, markets and the like, and their output appears under the bar. Commands that trade on their own — chase, twap, scale, swarm, bump, move, nuke and chasers — show you the exact command and ask before running it. The terminal's simulation mode and fat-finger limit do not apply to commands run this way. For buy, sell, close, cancel, stop and leverage, use the bar's own order commands, which show the confirmation card described above.

Terminal commands run one at a time in the bar, so ; and @ are not accepted.
