Connecting AsterDex to Tealstreet​

It's a good idea to keep both Tealstreet and AsterDex tabs open for the duration of this process.

  • Click the 'Settings' button near the top right corner of the terminal.

  • Click the 'Add new key' button at the bottom of the settings page.

Okay lets go back to our AsterDex account and create the API Key.

Creating the key​

  • Now we are ready to generate the API Key. Head on over to AsterDex and:
    • Login or connect your wallet when the window pops up
      • If a window did not automatically pop up click the connect button at the top right of the page

You will not be able to connect to AsterDex if you are connecting from a geo-restricted region.

  • Select the wallet you want to use. We will use Rabby for this example.

  • Sign the transaction to verify your wallet when the window pops up.
Enable Trading

  • Make sure to enable trading in the order panel on the right side of the page.

  • Once you are connected to your wallet, navigate to the API Key page by clicking the More button at the top and choosing API Management from the dropdown menu.

  • Click on the Create API Key button to begin the process.
Authorize Wallet

  • Choose a label for the key, this can be anything you want.

  • Generate an API Wallet address by clicking the Generate button.

  • Enable Perps trading permission.

  • Enter how many days you want it to be valid for. Max is 1 year. (Or click the Max button to set 365).

    • If you want to use whitelisting, go back to Tealstreet and click the clipboard icon next to the IP Whitelist field.
    • Paste the IP addresses you copied into the IP Whitelist box on the AsterDex API page.

  • Click the Authorize button to continue and sign the transaction with your wallet.

  • Securely store your API & API Secret.

  • Now lets return to Tealstreet to resume the API Linking process now that we have the information we need.

Connecting the key to Tealstreet​

Now let us proceed back to where we left the Tealstreet API page:

  • Proceed to fill out the form with the information you got when you created the API on the AsterDex API page. - Give the key a name, this can be anything you want. - Choose the color you want your API to be in the terminal. - If you are using whitelisting, tick the box for Use Tealstreet IP's. - Provide the Main Wallet Address of the wallet you used to sign the transactions when making the API Key. - Provide the API Wallet Adress AsterDex you generated in AsterDex when making the API Key. - Provide the API Secret AsterDex showed you when you authorized the API Key. - Click done.

    Never share your API Keys with anyone. Tealstreet team members will never ask you what your API key is.

    Be sure to double check you do not confuse API Key and API Secret. Connecting your AsterDex exchange account to Tealstreet will not work if these fields are not entered correctly.

    If all the details are correct, you will have successfully linked your AsterDex account to Tealstreet.

    • Close the Settings page and navigate to the Main Trading page. Select the AsterDex account you just linked to enable it.
      • If properly linked, you will see your balance appear in the Margin window of Tealstreet. Happy trading!!!

Frequently Asked Questions​

  • AsterDex says I'm from a restricted jurisdiction? * AsterDex has restrictions on users from certain jurisdictions such as the United States. Please see their Terms of Service for more info.

  • How do I enable trading on AsterDex? * AsterDex requires you to enable trading on your account before you can use it. To enable trading, go to the AsterDex website and click the Enable Trading button after you have signed in with your wallet.

  • AsterDex is not letting me create a new V1 API key. What should I do? AsterDex updated their API model and no longer allows creation of new V1 API keys as of March 25, 2026. Existing V1 keys can still work, but new users should create V3 (Pro) API keys and use those for Tealstreet. For full details, see Aster's official API overview: Aster API V1 vs V3.
