DOM (Depth of Market)

The DOM (Depth of Market) module shows a ladder view of the orderbook with prices, size columns, and optional imbalance highlighting. It is optimized for fast reading and quick clicks directly on price levels.

Some exchanges may throttle rapid clicks; use with care when placing frequent updates.

Key Features​

  • Ladder View: Prices centered around the mark/last, with bids/asks stacked vertically.
  • Size Columns: Shows per-level size; can display cumulative or individual sizes depending on mode.
  • Imbalance Highlighting: Optional shading to reveal skew between bid/ask depth.
  • Grouping/Precision: Adjust price grouping to fit your symbol and zoom level.
  • Click to Stage: Click a price level to stage an order price in the Place Order module (when supported by your exchange/account).

Settings​

  • Layout & Mode: Choose stacked vs split, and cumulative vs individual sizes (matches Orderbook settings).
  • Grouping/Precision: Set tick aggregation (price step) for the ladder.
  • Imbalance Display: Toggle showing bid/ask imbalance for quick skew detection.
  • Auto-Center: Keep the ladder centered on the mid/last price (if available).

Usage Tips​

  • For thin books, lower the grouping to see more granular levels; for volatile pairs, widen grouping to reduce noise.
  • Use imbalance shading to spot one-sided depth before placing orders.
  • Combine with the Place Order module: click a DOM level, then adjust size/post/reduce before submitting.
